New Stuff!

Here are some fun summer items. For some reason, Mod Podge has been calling to me! These are photo albums that hold 100 pictures sized 4x6. as much as I love digital stuff, I have been looking at my old pictures and missed the ambiance of the good old fashioned photo albums!

Of course, I had to add a Juliet touch to them, so yes, they are refreshingly offbeat!

All of these are available on my ABERRANT ACCESSORIES Store on Etsy!

Saturday April 25, 2009 will be a dark day for years to come. It is the day we said goodbye to

Maude, Dorothy Zbornak....Bea Arthur.

She was 86, married twice with 2 adopted sons. She was also a two time Emmy Award Winner for Maude and for Golden Girls. I will personally miss her contribution to senior citizen's fashion. Watching her, I could only dream of the wardrobes that would meet me in the future.

After Arthur left The Golden Girls, she made several guest appearances on television shows and organized and toured in her one-woman show, alternately titled An Evening with Bea Arthur and And Then There's Bea. Now I have the motivation to finally sit down and start my own book.

I LOVE YOU BEA, AND YOU WILL BE MISSED

Renewed

March is almost over and I have been busy driving around and visiting friends. I have also been working in the studio and have managed to come up with a new line!! I will be posting it in the next few days. This winter I spent a little more time than I'd like to admit surfing facebook...and playing Mob Wars and Fashion Wars, but that is neither here no there. But doing this, I was able to find a lot of people from the past that I have missed and actually have not spoken to for about ten years, but have thought about a lot. I am happy I did this because now with the warm weather sneaking up on us I find a have a whole new group of people to visit. I leave you with a picture of my favorite bird.

Hopefully many of you will recognize this vivacious vixen as the model behind Rutigliano Design. We would like to present to you the sexy and mysterious Dinah Williams. She has been one of my best friends for...well...years now! When we met it was love at first site! She has a way of wearing my jewelry the way I want it to feel, classic, sexy, and modern with a come-hither look!

She is almost a graduate of the Lyme Art Academy with a major in painting. She has been exploring the medium of egg tempra paints and I must say, I am completely impressed. I also had the privilege the other night of viewing a recent photo shoot she did in a pool. You will have to wait till another post to see some images, my verbal description will not capture the energy behind the photos.

We are going to be setting up another shoot with Dinah soon, so stay tuned for soem great new photos and jewelry!!!!
THANK YOU DINAH!!- Love Jules.

To say I love Fleetwood Mac would just be an understatement. They have a way of blending bittersweet sentiment with an realistic optimism. I can never turn them off when I hear them but lately I have been craving Ms. Nicks in the worst way, more specifically, the song "THE CHAIN".

This album was released in 1977 and as of 2007, it has sold over 30 MILLION copies. The band used their lyric, "Never break the chain." as a signature for the band. While I like that lyric, my favorite is, "Chains keep us together." I have been/am having mixed feelings about moving back to Connecticut. I have been in NJ since I was 18, who new 10 years would pass so quickly. But I am using my love for making jewelry and building my business as my motivation for making this move work for me. Chains can be cumbersome, holding you in one place, but they also can link you to your friends.

One of my long term goals is to actually be able to grow my hair this long, thick and big...only mine will be black. I'm sure you are now running to your record collection(yes I have this on LP) and if not, to the store to get this CD. Happy listening and love to Stevie.

I met my best friend Diana when I worked at a bead store in Princeton. We are best friends in about 5 min and still are 6 (or 7?) years later. She now lives with her husband Brian in Redbank with her 2 little punk rock Babies, Aurora and Malu.

This is one of my favorite pictures of her.

Diana is an FIT grad and (surprise surprise!!) She has her own line!
Her company is called A BILLION HELLIONS. Checking out her site is a MUST. She makes some of the most kick ass creations I have ever seen.

LONG LIVE ROCK N'ROLL

If you want to take a walk on the wild side...Diana does custom work!
